So here is one example of a brilliant idea and a very good implementation:
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
What is the idea all about?
Well, the idea is simple – to try to sell ‘the most important words on the web’ and to fund an independent film project, based on my award winning screenplay ‘ENTER’.
Who are you?
My name is Nikola Raykov, I am 27 years old and I live in the city of Stara Zagora in Bulgaria. I have tried doing different things with my life, but somehow always felt attracted to art in one form or another. I have written sci-fi, fantasy and drama stories (some of them awarded and published), I have a film screenplay (also awarded) and I have always been fascinated with cinema. I have done directing and editing for commercials and documentaries on a low scale and results were pretty decent. About a year ago I decided I had enough and I quit my blue-collar administrative job. Instead I was to start a web design company with my future wife (we were only engaged at that point). So now, besides everything else, I am a web designer.
Why should I buy a word?
Because you will have a link to your site posted on ‘1000 words for sale’ that could potentially bring to you millions of people. At a price of 10$/year this might turn out to be the cheapest and most effective advertising you have ever done.
How come you are selling ‘words’?
Well, since I have been running a web design company for a year I was able to figure out that advertising on the web, once you have your website build is as important (if not more) as building the website itself. And then it hit me. The most important advertising words are the ones that the most people search for.
How did you compile the list?
It was not as easy as it might look. Actually it took me almost two weeks to cross-reference different sources about searching terms and then I had to remove some of them, such as company names or trademarks and leave only the everyday words used.
The best part - this project will raise funds for the film project ‘ENTER’, which trust me has a very interesting scenario since I've read it and the author is a good friend of mine
